About Your Doctor
Meet Dr Jorine Nel
Dedicated to providing compassionate, thorough healthcare that treats every patient as a whole person — with integrity, patience, and genuine care.
Dr Jorine Nel
MBChB (UP, 2012) · Certified Independent Practitioner
Dr Jorine Nel studied medicine at the University of Pretoria and graduated in 2012. She achieved distinctions in both Psychiatry and Family Medicine, reflecting her early interest in the emotional and holistic aspects of healthcare.
Eager to refine her clinical skills in a high-level academic setting, she chose to complete her internship at Kalafong Hospital, a tertiary academic hospital. She remained there for her community service year, spending a total of three years gaining broad exposure to complex and diverse medical cases.
Over the past decade in private practice, she has worked in emergency medicine and later as a general practitioner. She has practised as both a locum and a practice owner, developing a wide-ranging understanding of general healthcare. For five years, she also served as the treating physician at an addiction centre, gaining valuable insight into addiction and alcoholism management.
Today, as a dedicated doctor in Pretoria, she provides comprehensive care for individuals and families across all stages of life. She does not rush appointments — time is set aside to listen carefully, ask the right questions, and ensure that every concern is addressed thoroughly.
“True healing requires listening. Every patient carries a unique story, and understanding that story is the foundation of good medicine. My aim is always for you to leave feeling reassured and supported.”
